Estë Terms of Use

Effective date: September 8, 2026
Last updated: September 8, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Estë app, made by Byteshire LLC (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using Estë, you agree to these terms.

License

Estë is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under these terms and under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these terms and Apple’s Standard EULA differ, these terms govern the matters they address; Apple’s Standard EULA governs everything else.

Your audio and your soundscapes

Estë plays audio files you add to it. You are responsible for those files and for having the rights to use them. A soundscape is a document you create; it holds copies of the files you added and lives wherever you keep it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Estë does not take ownership of your files or your soundscapes, and it is not a backup service. Removing a file from a soundscape deletes the copy inside that soundscape, and deleting a soundscape deletes everything inside it, so keep your original files somewhere else. Deleting the app removes its preferences and temporary copies, never your soundscapes.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Estë only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app except to the extent that the law permits.

Disclaimers

Estë is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent that the law allows. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will play every audio format, or that a sleep timer or fade will end at the exact moment you expect. Estë is not a medical device and makes no claim to treat any condition, including insomnia.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent that the law permits, Byteshire LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Estë, including any loss of or damage to your files.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
