Cirth Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Cirth app, made by Byteshire LLC (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using Cirth, you agree to these terms.
License
Cirth is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under these terms and under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these terms and Apple’s Standard EULA differ, these terms govern the matters they address; Apple’s Standard EULA governs everything else.
Your documents
Cirth edits the files you open with it. You are responsible for those files and for having the rights to use them. Your documents stay where they already live, and your edits are written back to the original file in place, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Cirth does not store, back up, or take ownership of your documents. Deleting the app removes its preferences, never your files.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Cirth only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app except to the extent that the law permits.
Disclaimers
Cirth is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent that the law allows. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will interpret every Markdown extension or every file the way another tool would. Cirth edits files in place and is not a backup service, so keep your own backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent that the law permits, Byteshire LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Cirth, including any loss of or damage to your files.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
