Gershwin's Taxi Horns Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 13, 2026
Last updated: September 13, 2026

Gershwin’s Taxi Horns is made by Byteshire LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Gershwin’s Taxi Horns app on iPhone and iPad.

The short version

Gershwin’s Taxi Horns does not collect your personal data. We have no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app is a one-screen instrument: four taxi horns you tap to honk. It contains no code that connects to the network, so nothing you do in it can leave your device. We never see anything about you or your use of the app.

What the app reads, and why

Gershwin’s Taxi Horns asks for no permissions and reads no files, contacts, photos, location, or microphone. It contains no networking code, so it never makes a request to us or to anyone else.

The one thing it reads is how you are tilting the device, from its motion sensors, so the picture behind the horns and the light on them can shift as you move. That reading is used on the device, in the moment, and nothing else: it is not stored, not sent anywhere, and not used to work out anything about you or what you are doing.

What the app stores, and where

The app stores two things, on your device only: which of the two tunings you last chose, and which horn sound, so the app sounds the same the next time you open it. Each preference is a single word in the app’s own settings storage. They never leave your device, and they say nothing about you.

There is no library, no history of what you played, no database, and no cloud account.

Sound

Gershwin’s Taxi Horns uses your device’s audio session to play the honks, and for nothing else. It does not record, listen, or use the microphone. The audio session is set up as playback, the way instrument apps are, so the honks sound even when the mute switch is on.

No network, no analytics, no tracking

The app makes no network requests of any kind: it contains no code to do so, and it has nothing to send. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software, does not collect crash reports itself, and builds no profile of you or your usage. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple at the system level, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports through App Store Connect; those come from Apple, are not linked to your identity, and contain nothing about what you played.

Children

Gershwin’s Taxi Horns is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your control and data deletion

There is nothing of yours for us to delete, because we never receive anything. Deleting the app removes its two stored preferences along with it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address.
